Leak Testing in Reverse

by Craig Savage
(UK)

Hi,

Great Site BTW.

I also work on fridge systems every day, the one thing that never lets me down when trying to tell if its a leak or not is the white smoke coming from your VAC pump.

I also listen to the noise the pump makes, it does change as it vacumes the pot. If I see white smoke and nothing is showing on my Torr gauge then its defo a leak or a loose fitting on your hoses.

Probably every tech does this but I thought I would share
